PerkinElmer, a prominent company in mass spectrometry, wrote about the MCAC as a novel lab design and facility. Stating that the MCAC "provides an interesting new paradigm for how universities can structure a laboratory as a service center to the university as well as to local companies and government
agencies in order to upgrade its capabilities," PerkinElmer recognizes the innovative nature of the facility.
